Elan Alphabet Cards

56 printed cards with lower-case alphabet letters: chosen by frequency of use in the infant vocabulary. The aim is help infants to experience the letterforms in the home environment. Parents, or carers, will be able to produce a few appropriate cards at times when chatting about the day’s work at kindergarten.

The cards are the size of most playing cards. This set of Elan Cards is named—as are several other available sets of letters and numbers—after the river in central Wales. A similar set of cards—the Eden Set—contains upper and lower-case letters.

Other sets of busy.cards are available: all are named after rivers: all have been designed as lighthearted aids, to help carers to chat with the infants in their charge. If you’d like a slightly fuller introduction to busy.cards, you might enjoy visiting our Welcome Page.
